I am a global marketing student at the University of Northern Colorado with a minor in cultural anthropology and a passion for connecting with diverse groups of people. My ultimate goal is to find a career in the global marketing industry that allows me to travel, market, and network with businesses in different countries. My passion for cultural awareness coupled with the desire to communicate across national borders has motivated me to take applicable marketing courses to be successful in the future.

I am active in a variety of cultural communities back home in Hawai’i, and have taken many leadership roles within the cultural organizations at the University of Northern Colorado (UNCO). I enjoy leading, hosting, and coordinating cultural events on campus for an organization called APASS (Asian Pacific American Student Services). I began my journey as a member of UNCO’s Hawai’i club and hosted annual events for the “Kohl” diversity house. A year later, I took on my most rewarding leadership role as president of UNCO’s Hula Club. I organized and trained dancers, put together an event program, and collaborated with the Hawai’i Club to host Northern Colorado’s 24th annual Lu’au.

Some of my interests include:

  • Spending time with friends & family
  • Photography
  • Ukulele
  • Hula dancing
  • Snorkeling
  • Adventuring
  • Stand up paddle board
  • Hawaiian cultural studies
  • Swimming
  • Watching sunsets
  • Rainbow Wahine volleyball
  • Denver Broncos
  • Outrigger Canoe paddling
  • Shopping
  • Hiking

As a junior undergraduate exploring her passion for global marketing a long way from home, I’m thankful to have discovered “greek life” on campus. I’m currently an active member of the Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and live with seven other sorority sisters that support and guide me towards success.
